Edwin Raymond is a recently retired NYPD lieutenant, civil-rights activist and author of the riveting new memoir An Inconvenient Cop: My Fight to Change Policing in America. Joining the NYPD at the young age of 22, Edwin sought to be the type of police officer he had hoped he would have seen growing up. He wanted to work with the community to reform policing in NYC. But after witnessing endless amounts of quota-based and racially discriminatory policing, Edwin took a stand, one that put him at great risk of reprisal. Isaac talk with him about his background, his stand against the NYPD, his activism and what he's doing to help reform a broken system.
